Michael is born in April 1952 in Aalborg. He starts his career in shipping in the early seventies.
Having obtained his law degree from University of Copenhagen in 1978, he joins P&I Club Skuld in Copenhagen. Michael specializes in maritime law and transport law, and in autumn 1981 Michael founds a law firm in Aalborg. In 1998 Michael moves his law firm to Aarhus.
Michael is admitted to the Supreme Court.
